Agreement#

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Typeahead, a macOS desktop application developed by Noats Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”). By purchasing or using Typeahead, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

License#

When you buy or subscribe to Typeahead, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on your Mac computers, subject to these Terms and the plan you chose.

• A lifetime license is a one-time purchase with no recurring fees. It is a perpetual license and covers all your Macs.
• An annual or monthly subscription is a license for as long as your subscription is paid, on up to 3 Macs.
• Every plan includes free updates: a lifetime license for the lifetime of the product, a subscription for as long as it is paid.
• Your license is activated with a unique license key tied to your email address.

Plans and Macs#

Typeahead comes in three plans. Prices are in US dollars, except in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the countries that use the euro, Canada and Australia, where we show and charge a set price in pounds sterling, euros, Canadian dollars or Australian dollars. Checkout shows the price and currency you’ll pay, and a subscription renews at that price, in the currency it started in.

• Lifetime: $149£109€129CA$209A$209, paid once. Use it on all your Macs.
• Annual: $96£72€84CA$132A$132 a year. Use it on up to 3 Macs.
• Monthly: $10£8€9CA$14A$14 a month. Use it on up to 3 Macs.

On a subscription, to use Typeahead on a new Mac once you’ve reached the limit, deactivate one of your other Macs in the app first.

Subscriptions and renewal#

The annual and monthly plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically until you cancel: the annual plan every year at $96£72€84CA$132A$132, the monthly plan every month at $10£8€9CA$14A$14. We charge each renewal to the payment method on file.

Canceling#

You can cancel a subscription at any time, using the link in any email we send about it or in the app. Canceling stops the next renewal. Typeahead keeps working until the end of your trial or the period you’ve paid for, then stops until you subscribe again or buy a lifetime license.

Free trial#

The annual and monthly plans can start with a 14-day free trial. A card is required to start it. If you don’t cancel during the trial, we charge the plan you chose on day 15: $96£72€84CA$132A$132 and every year after that for the annual plan, or $10£8€9CA$14A$14 and every month after that for the monthly plan, until you cancel. Cancel before then and you won’t be charged.

Each Mac can have one free trial. If a Mac has already had one, a new trial won’t activate on it. If that new trial is still running and you haven’t used it on another Mac, we cancel it and you won’t be charged. Otherwise, email hello@typeahead.ai and we’ll sort it out.

Permitted use#

You may:

• Install and use Typeahead on Macs you personally own, up to your plan’s limit
• Use Typeahead for personal, educational, or commercial purposes
• Make backup copies of the application for archival purposes

Restrictions#

You may not:

• Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or transfer Typeahead or your license key to another person
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of Typeahead
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use Typeahead in any way that violates applicable law or regulation

Refund policy#

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first full payment of any plan: the lifetime purchase, or a subscription’s first annual or monthly charge, including the first $96 or $10 after a trial. Later renewals aren’t covered, so cancel before one if you don’t want it. A refund ends the license it paid for and cancels the subscription.

Switching to lifetime#

If you move from a subscription to a lifetime license in the first 3 months of your subscription, what you’ve paid counts toward the $149£109€129CA$209A$209. Email hello@typeahead.ai to ask for the credit.

Updates#

Typeahead may periodically check for software updates via the Sparkle update framework. Updates are optional and installed only with your consent. Every plan entitles you to all future updates at no additional cost: a lifetime license for the lifetime of the product, a subscription for as long as it is paid.

Intellectual property#

Typeahead, including its name, logo, design, and code, is the intellectual property of Noats Inc. Your purchase or subscription grants a license to use the software. It does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

Privacy#

Your privacy is fundamental to how Typeahead works. The software processes all text locally on your Mac and never sends your writing data to any server. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties#

Typeahead is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Typeahead will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Noats Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of Typeahead. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license.

Termination#

We may terminate your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using Typeahead and delete all copies. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, and governing law survive termination.

Governing law#

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.

Changes to these terms#

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of Typeahead after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
